It’s not rare for us to change or add things to

It’s not rare for us to change or add things to already “completed” projects. This time we even pivoted from the concept drawing a little. However, our reason for the change up was different this time! We got a puppy (at Christmastime)! Yes, that’s a puppy and yes, I realize she’s big! 😬 She’s 6mo old and a little larger than I had wanted 😆 buuut Olive is super sweet and patient and has been a great addition to the family. 🐕 Now we just wait for things to bloom again. #gate #pergola #fence #landcape #diy #puppies

So, this is where we’re at with the attic space! I included the last pic despite toys out and poor lighting to both keep it real and give you a better idea of the layout of the space.
I still need to change/add things (just a few examples are a rug, add pillows, change sofa feet, add doors & hardware to the built-ins etc), but here we are with a functional space! Our goal was a movie room vibe that really acts as a flex/game space, not just for movie nights.
While I obviously always attempt to either match or coordinate colors as best as I can (colors tough my friends), I still can’t believe how well the colors in the wall paper worked with our paint choices, sconces on the steps, and even the paint in the bedroom it leads down to. 🤯 Honestly even feels like a treehouse up here which was not a vision but a wonderful, unforeseen result.

With the doors to the firewood storage built, all we need is a place to sit! At least I think, and hope, that’s all that’s left to this portion of the backyard. 😆Debating between lounging patio furniture with cushions, maybe even a sofa, or multiple adirondack chairs circled around. Ahh, to have a project 100% finished! I had almost forgotten what that felt like😆. It may not seem like much, but getting new pots and NOT having them sit for weeks, but instead actually buying plants and transplanting others, is monumental for me these days. 😆I also now have an herb garden.
