Kitchen Drywall…Check! Coat Closet…Check!

Aaaand back to the renovations going on at our house! Is the back and forth between our house and my parent’s driving you nuts yet? Are you surprised we haven’t lost our minds? Well, thankfully we kind of enjoy this type of chaos so we’re still going strong!

Anyways, over at our house Pavlo finished hanging the rest of the drywall in the kitchen as well as finished framing out a coat closet in the new mudroom.

Here’s the soon-to-be-sink-wall insulated and just screaming for drywall:

And here it is drywalled:

And because a mudroom needs a coat closet, Pavlo framed one out in the corner of the mudroom and then drywalled it:

Oh, and I should mention our steal of a door we found for this mudroom closet. About 3 weeks ago we were antique shopping and found a door that was the perfect fit for this new coat closest. We needed a small door (only 18″) which can be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot, but unfortunately not with the same profile as the other, original, solid wood doors in our house. We were so happy when we found this 18″ door at an antique store because it not only had the exact profile we needed, but it was only $35! The solid wood doors at the other hardware stores were running about $80 on average.

It was a tight squeeze on the way home, but it was well worth it!

Next we bring in our drywall finisher!
