Layin’ It Out!

Layin’ It Out!

As promised, I’m back to show you our kitchen’s future layout! Ready for it?! Drumroll please… Yup, that’s it. A little bit of a let down? Yeah, I felt that way too…but then I saw the renderings! So, to make up for any disappointment, I’m also

Bring on Kitchen #4

Bring on Kitchen #4

The first kitchen Pavlo and I renovated together was my parent’s, which we are of course currently expanding. It originally turned out a little something like this: The second kitchen was our previous home’s: and the third was my aunt’s: Well, we have now officially

Some Light Reading

Some Light Reading

The new light fixtures came in earlier this week and I’m so incredibly excited about them! The entire purpose of this kitchen/sunroom renovation was to fulfill my mom’s vision of having one loooong table to seat her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. After this project is finished the sunroom will be the main eating area of the kitchen.

Before going on the hunt for light fixtures, I had my mom describe exactly how big and in what style she wanted her new table. I’m not going to give away her vision just yet, but let’s just say I’m certain that the light fixtures I chose are absolutely perfect! That’s probably why I’ve caught myself staring at them from the kitchen several times over the last 24 hours! I just keep envisioning the new table, with our somewhat loud and chaotic family sitting around it, under those very lights. Let me tell you something, it’s a great thing to envision!

And here are the fixtures I chose:

They are a 4 light, iron fixture made by World Imports. Here they are right after Pavlo (along with his assistant for the evening, my brother Blake) hung them:

I’m crazy about these fixtures! I’m even contemplating finding a space in our new house to use them!
