Fast Forward
Since I’m clearly not able to blog consistently (yet!) I’m just going to fast forward to what my aunt and uncle’s final kitchen looks like. I mean really, it’s one thing to build your anticipation for the next post but another thing entirely to just leave you hanging!
After the countertops went in we moved right into the finishing touches. The new pendant lights were hung, the appliances were installed
The matching crown moulding (ordered with the cabinetry) went up
The tumbled marble backsplash was installed with a decorative design above the range and a mosiac pattern around the remainder of the kitchen
New knobs and pulls were put on the cabinetry
Finally, we added a touch of color with new paint on the walls (Sherwin Williams’ “Grassland”) and voilà, the kitchen was complete!
We’re really pleased with the final product and were extremely happy to have completed it only 2 days prior to welcoming our daughter Colette into the world (who is now 2 and a half months old). Yup, she hung in there and allowed us to hand over a finished kitchen to my aunt! Now if she would only allow me to blog more often!
I love my kitchen! 🙂 And of course, my great nephew and niece! 🙂
