Going Green
My parent’s sunroom is finally painted! I went with the same soft green that we had in our previous house’s basement, “Ancient Marble” by Sherwin Williams. So far that color is 2 for 2, it has yet to disappoint me! We’ve even used the color, “Grassland” (which is on the same swatch just a little darker) in both our previous master bedroom and in my aunt’s kitchen. So really, that color line is 4 for 4!
We still have to apply a second coat but it looked so amazing that I even went as far as rearranging furniture and doing some minimal decorating just for the pictures you’re going to see.

So pretty right?! Oh, and just incase you’re curious, we did actually use a more eco-friendly product, the title of this post wasn’t meant to just be catchy! We used Sherwin Williams’ Duration line of paint which is low-VOC. The kiddos weren’t around during the painting (and in fact were out for a couple hours beyond that) so we went with what we had used (and loved) in the past, even if it wasn’t completely VOC free (though drastically less then standard interior paint). Duration has incredible coverage, we highly recommend it! However, in the future, if and when the little ones are around (we try to keep them away on painting days anyways), we’ll go with the non-VOC just like we did for the primer in this room.
Aside from the second coat of paint, I think we’re ready to get rid of that stack of wood in the room and build the table!
