Long Overdue Bathroom Update
Remember how back in November we started to renovate the upstairs bathroom (more on that here)? Do you also remember how back in January I left you with this post on completing the bathroom tile and selecting paint colors? Were you wondering what on earth ever happened to that bathroom? I would have been wondering! If you follow this blog then it’s almost like we just stopped working on the bathroom all together. Well, what happened to that bathroom were the hardwood floors and all the prep work that had to be done before their refinishing. However, you’ll be happy to know that this weekend the bathroom was wrapped up and is ready for decor!
I last left you with these three paint options (all by Sherwin Williams):
1.) “Agreeable Gray”
2.) “Sea Salt”3.) “Conservative Gray”
And here are all of the color options on the wall:
And the winner was…
“Conservative Gray” is actually a slightly greenish gray, which looks amazing with all the accent tiles in the bathroom.
In addition to painting both the walls and trim (in a semi-gloss white) we managed to get the light fixture up.
AND we mounted the mirror! I know, talk about being productive! As you see in the photos below, I selected a frameless, beveled, oval mirror.
And here’s a closeup of the faucet (I don’t think I ever posted a picture of it installed):
As you can see there is still more to do when it comes to decor but my goodness does it feel good to have a new, clean and fully functioning bathroom!
Thank you everyone. Yes, it’s coming along nicely. Pavlo made the (very true) comment that the bathroom looks good but “lonely.” It definitely needs some warm touches!
It looks great Stephanie! You are amazing.
I like the gray Steph…i like the green undertones of the gray, i bet it looks great in the bathroom!!
Love it!
